BRIDGE BETWEEN CULTURES:
NEW WRITING AND DEVISED WORKS.

The Company aims to create bridges between different cultures, different periods, and different disciplines. Echange Theatre Company is composed of creative minds who put together their different talents in order to reach the public at a sensorial level. The process of creation in a collaborative way, can involve the translations of new scripts, or the production of original performances. Influenced by the works of Robert Lepage, Patrice Caurier, Deborah Warner, and Hans Peter Cloos amongst others, Echange Theatre Company endeavours to produce work that takes into account the realities of the present day and brings back a real feeling level.

BRIDGE BETWEEN TIMES : REVIVALS OF THE CLASSICS
Echange Theatre Company aspires to create and promote the theatrical heritage of the French language in English. This can include any classical author writing in the French language whom we wish to re-interpret with a more contemporary approach, and in English. The identity of French-speaking theatre is unique, and together with our team we wish to bring this across the channel to English audiences. Because the relevance to the world today of some plays in the French, Creole or African French-speaking repertoire is very real but neglected.
